WetsuitCenter.com ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, reach out via our contact page.

What we collect

Email address (optional)

If you sign up for our newsletter or cheat sheet, we collect your email address. That address is stored by MailerLite, our email service provider, and used to send you the content you asked for plus occasional related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Contact form submissions

When you submit our contact form, the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) is processed by our infrastructure providers solely to deliver your message to us and respond to your inquiry.

Analytics

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool to understand which pages get read and which tools get used. Analytics data is aggregated — we do not tie it to identifiable visitor profiles. We do not sell analytics data.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries:

• Essential: remembering your unit preference (imperial vs metric) on tools; suppressing the exit-intent popup for 30 days after you dismiss it.
• Email provider: MailerLite may set cookies if you submit a form, to help confirm your subscription.
• Analytics: first-party only, used to count page views and aggregate behavior.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link on this site, the destination merchant (Amazon or the brand) sets their own cookies to track the referral. We don't control those cookies. See our affiliate disclosure for more detail.

Third-party links

We link to external sites (buoy data, brand pages, forecast services). Those sites have their own privacy practices. We can't vouch for them and recommend reviewing their policies before submitting personal information.

Data retention

Newsletter subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and reference past conversations — typically no more than two years unless an ongoing issue is active.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (EU, UK, California, and others), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold. Email us and we'll handle it.

Children

WetsuitCenter is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the homepage or in the newsletter.
